Stan-Fact Factice products act as permanent softeners, complementary fillers, surface modifiers and thixotropic process aids. Factice products are produced from soybean, rapeseed or castor oil. Harwick’s Stan-Fact products are produced from soybean oil. These naturally occurring oils are mixtures of glycerides — mostly triglycerides of mono-and polyunsaturated fatty acids. Factice can be cross-linked, most commonly with sulfur, although some specialty grades can be cross-linked with alternative crosslinking chemistries. It will help maintain compound durometer and flexibility over time, even in difficult service conditions like roll and printing applications.
